Reidar, could you tell us a bit more about your background and your current ministry?

Well I was raised in a Christian family but I had my personal encounter with Jesus when I was thirteen years old. Several years later I enrolled into an engineering-school, however God called me to stop my studies and to go out preaching the gospel. First I travelled as fulltime evangelist, later I also pastored several churches and now I am rector at the SBI bibleschool and plant and support churches in and outside our denomination. I also lead and participate in missionteams around the world.

What do you see God doing in your nation?

The church in Norway is stagnant and passive, much of the churches are not growing, few people are coming to Jesus. But we pray for Norway, and see that nation is ripe for a fresh move of God.

What has the Lord shown you how to win your nation for Jesus?

God has given us a vision to build up a resource-center attached to the bibleschool, for all nations, but special for Norway. Its goal is to support churches and ministries for revival and planting of new churches. We send out ministryteams and gifts from God to do that.

Norway is known to be a peaceful conservative Christian nation, how has the nation responded in light of recent trauma with Anders Breivik?

These events have scared our people and have left many in fear. We are all shocked by the horrific acts of terrorism. However this traumatic event has brought out the love Norwegians have for each other in times of pain. As Norwegians tend to be quite self-centered and not focused on each other. This event has brought the nation closer together despite the horror.

Over your many years of training students in the Bible school, what are some of the greatest challenges for young leaders of today in the body of Christ?

One of the greatest challenges for leaders today is culture. Especially here in Norway its a challenge to adhere to biblical principles above the culture we have grown accustomed to.

So in that regard we need to learn live Christ-like and not dictate by our culture.

Our nation is nation of comfort and ease but we must learn to live in Christ and do His will and live in His power.

You also minister internationally and lead missionteams into different nations.
What do you see God doing all over the World?

God is doing many things around the world. In South America, Africa and Asia we seen great revival and thousands of people are saved, healed and so much more.  And its our prayer to see the same things happen hear in Norway!

Thank you for this interview Reidar,

Lets keep Norway in prayer...
